#99 - 1984 Fender Stratocaster "2 knob"

#99 - 1984 Fender Stratocaster "2 knob". This was produced in the USA during the mid 80's. The "E3.." serial numbers where guitars produced actually from 1984-1987 during a transitional era. Notice the tremolo. There is no rear route on this guitar and it originally came with just 1 volume and 1 tone knob instead of the traditional 1 volume, 2 tone knobs. Some have called this a "Smith Strat" but it is more known as a "2 knob Strat". The Smith Strat has a different headstock.

This guitar I purchased in 2003 from a second hand shop for a mere $300. These guitars are great values and have incredible tones. Don't let the oddball feature scare you away from this one. I have actually owned 3 different 2 knob Strats in my time and have thoroughly enjoyed them all! "STAY TUNED!"
